Bulmer & Lumb is a converter of polyester, acrylic, polyamide and viscose fibres (tow and staple) and a producer of ecru blends in wool/synthetics of all types.
It is a processor of all types of synthetic fibres suitable for worsted spinning in both ecru and colours. Tops are manufactured in blends with natural fibres for the production of weaving, upholstery, hand and machine knitting yarns.
Developments include a processing line for carding and scouring synthetic fibres used in the production of high performance filters and medical mask applications.
A commission processing service is available using the latest technology for converting, gilling and re-combing. Principle fibres manufactured include:

Acrylics in 2.4 dtex low pill to 5.0 dtex regular, semi-dull and bright. Properti es for special types include low pill/regular for apparel, dry spun for upholstery and Modacrylic for FR types.
Nylons in ecru from 3.3 to 6.7 dtex in nylon 66 and nylon 6.
Polyesters in ecru from 1.7 to 4.4 dtex, low pill (anti-pill) and standard pill. Also specialities Trilobal, oval fibre etc. made to order.

Tencel, 3.0 dtex A100 in standard bright lustre and also available in the new dull type.
Viscose in 2.4 to 5 dtex in both matt and bright.
PLA (Ingeo) Fibre in 3.3dtex dyed tops.
